The Trust has been paying ‘Stipend’ to poor Brahmin girl students studying in the local Colleges. The amount of stipend is being increased every now and then, keeping in view the fee hike in Colleges. The Donor himself sanctioned a stipend of Rs.135-00 per year for one girl student.

The number of girl – stipend-holders has increased phenomenally to 352 in the year 2007-08. One remarkable point about the Stipend is given below:

Total no: of girls benefited up to 2007-08 – 3,255
Total Amount distributed so far since the inception: Rs.61, 90,420(about 62 lakhs)

The Stipend distribution function

From the academic year 2007-08, the stipend, which is paid in two equal installments, has been increased as follows:
3. Rs.2000-00 to those studying Intermediate and Degree Classes
4. Rs.5000-00 to those studying PG and Engineering courses
Usually the first installment of stipend is paid in the month of August while the second one is paid in January.
